Last year’s MVP Patrick Mahomes exploded for a Few of the greatest quarters in NFL history since the Chiefs beat the Raiders.
Following Oakland had opened up a 10-0 lead and held the Chiefs to their first scoreless first quarter because Mahomes took more than rookie last year, the gunslinger threw four touchdowns in the second since Kansas City entirely turned the match around.
Two scores threw into one to rookie Mecole Hardman, Demarcus Robinson, and another to tight end Travis Kelce at a spell.
Though he did not set any records, Mahomes’ 278 yards in a single quarter were the most second-most at 40 seasons (behind Drew Brees with 294 in 2008) while Aaron Rodgers was the final QB to throw four TDs in a quarter, and he did that back in 2014.
Mahomes – who was the third quarterback last year to throw 50 touchdowns in a season – completed five passes of 27 yards to end the quarter and first half.
After the flurry of scoring before the break, both sides had been scoreless in the second half as the Chiefs moved to and held to their victory. Mahomes completed the match 30/44, together with 4 TDs, 443 yards and no interceptions.
